About LeadX

LeadX is South Africa’s leading producer of secondary lead (Pb) and lead products.

LeadX is wholly owned by AutoX, a local manufacturer engaged in the production of lead acid batteries.

Our Divisions

Operations of LeadX are split into two divisions namely the secondary lead (Pb) smelter producing soft lead and lead alloys and the industrial lead product division producing lead anodes for electroextraction processes in mining as well as wide range of sheets, extrusions and casting.

The company is well placed to service our customer base in Sub-Saharan Africa and select export markets. The companies operations maintain the highest quality (ISO9001), Health and safety (ISO45001) and environmental (ISO14001 and ISO50001) standards and maintain competitive advantage through a continuous improvement philosophy and appropriate technology choices.
